The final middle division golf tournament of the season concluded in an exciting fashion. The buzz and excitement that surrounded the playoffs was electric. The starting line-up from all eight teams competed for individual titles in both a boys and girls division. Scoring was tough on Wednesday afternoon for the entire field. Congratulations to our own sixth grader Meredith K. for earning the trophy for girls third place and tying her season-low score. Drew H. competed in an thrilling seven-man playoff to decided the boys third place winner. Drew hit the best shot on the first playoff hole, finishing with a par along with three other golfers. The final playoff hole was decided by a closest-to-the-hole challenge. The challenge was won by non-charger with a spectacular shot that landed only four feet away from the hole. It proved to be extremely tough to beat but great job Drew! Our team was awarded the second place trophy for the season-long points race, our best finish in a few years. The First Tee of St. Petersburg also handed out awards for the Match MVP and Best Attitude Award. Luke K. earned the Match MVP award for compiling our team's best match scoring average. The Best Attitude Award was presented to Jack H. for his terrific team spirit and positive attitude. We are so proud of our team and their accomplishments this year!

Club Storage & Pick Up Info
Hello,
We have a come up with a plan concerning club storage for the MD Golf Team. As you pull through car line in the morning you will continue all the way around the back of the school and just past the maintenance building. Our bus #22 (white bus) will be unlocked at the rear door. Please pull your vehicle near to the bus and make sure your golfer stacks his or her clubs, shoes and other golf equipment in either of the back two rows of seats neatly. We will have our maintenance staff there to assist your child in crossing the street safely. Immediately after school your golfer will meet Coach Every on the sidewalk between the new 7th & 8th building and the Sher Center, near the breezeway. Pick up will be at Cypress Links @ 5:10 during the tryout period. This time is approximate, due to the number of golfers trying out and the speed of play on the course. I thank you for your patience in advance. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Golf essentials to be provided by parents:
Sun Protection
Water bottle to fill up or money to purchase from the proshop
Small snack (if desired)
Golf clubs, ball, tees etc.
Proper golf attire or school uniform
Regards,
Woody Every
